He has over 12 years of experience in the environmental analytical field for hazardous waste samples analytical services. His experience includes GC/EC, GC/MS, and sample preparation including extract clean-ups before analysis. Mr. Maloney has comprehensive knowledge and experience in GC/EC, GC/MS analysis by U.S. EPA CLP protocols, SW846, and 500/600 series methods for diverse environmental samples. He is experienced in CLP programs including data reporting, both hard copy and EDDs. Most of his previous experience has been in GC/EC area in CLP and other analytical programs.

Professional Experience

Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometry. Geoff is analyzing environmental samples by GC/MS on HP instruments using Chemstation and Enviroquant software. Analyzed organics compounds by GC/MS using EPA protocols (CLP, SW-846, 600 and 500 series); GC screening of samples prior to GC/MS analysis. Responsible for mass spectral data reduction, interpretation and report preparation using Thru-Put systems Target software. He is responsible for BNA analysis, data quality, interpretation and reporting of the data and presenting his report to supervisor for review and comments. He is involved in routine mass spectral data interpretation for the tentatively identified compounds in the samples. He generates EDDŐs for the CLP program and other formats as required by the clients.

GC/ECD. Geoff has extensive experience in GC/ECD area for pesticide/PCBŐs analysis under various analytical programs including sample preparation and clean-ups. He has been responsible for instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, data interpretation and reporting both hard copy and electronic deliverables.
