Services

Envirosystems' expertise includes analytical services, methods development and research, sampling program design, quality assurance/quality control, regulatory assessments for contaminants, environmental analytical data audits, evaluation, and compliance with the protocols.

Discounts and Premiums

Standard analytical turnaround time is 2-4 weeks. Quick turnaround of 1-3 days can be arranged as well. Quantity discounts are available based on volume of work analytical parameters and/or long-term contracts.

Sample Disposal

Routine sample disposal after analysis, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, is included at no cost.

However, in instances where hazardous samples containing PCB, dioxins, and other highly controlled and unusual substances are submitted for analysis, the laboratory reserves the right to return the unused portion of the sample to the client at their expense for proper disposal.

Terms

  • A minimum order is $50.
  • Payment terms are net 30 days after receipt of report.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Each client must return a signed copy of the Analytical Services Terms and Conditions to Envirosystems.
  • Samples are to be shipped to the laboratory and upon receipt will be subject to the standard laboratory terms and conditions.
  • The maximum liability in any dispute is limited to the amount paid for the analytical project.

Sample Containers and Sample Storage

Stored Samples: Samples received and analyzed at the laboratory are held, at no additional charge, for 30 days after a written report is issued. This obviously does not apply to samples, which are consumed during analysis (air filters, wipes, etc.). Clients who require storage beyond 30 days should specify such needs at the time the work is authorized or as soon as possible. Sample storage will be billed at a rate of $10/sample per month.

Trip Blanks: Trip blanks consisting of one each of the pre-preserved containers required by the client filled with reagent grade water will be provided. Should the client require field blanks to validate sampling procedures, a pre-preserved container will be provided and analysed as an additional sample. Laboratory may provide deionized water for field sampling and field blank purposes upon request.

Sample Return: Excess or unused samples can be returned to clients at laboratory’s discretion or upon receipt of written request. Costs for handling and shipping will be billed with final invoices.

Please contact Envirosystems for details on the sample containers appropriate for the specific analysis and other details about holding time at 410-964-0330.

Professional service charge and minimum charge for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analysis is $150/hour. Mass spectral interpretation of non-target compounds is $7/peak or $100 for up to 30 peaks.

Standard GC/MS deliverables include a tabular data summary, computer generated quantitation tables, reconstructed ion chromatogram, spike recovery data, results of standard and blank runs, and GC/MS tuning data. Data packaging per federal US EPA CLP Protocol is available at a surcharge of $75/sample. However, CLP Protocol also requires analyzing matrix spike and matrix spike duplicates per batch of 20 or less samples per matrix and are billable as additional samples.
